WE’RE LOOKING FOR A NEW EDITOR FOR MORRIS MONTHLY

If you love Morris cars, a great opportunity exists for you to take on a key role in the Morris Register as the Editor of Morris Monthly which will be published on a bi-monthly basis or 6 editions per year. It is anticipated that you would spend about 10 hours per month or 20 hours per magazine on preparing the magazine material.

This is a high-profile and rewarding role where you will be able to express your creativity and be responsible for producing a quality magazine of which you and the club can be proud.

The editor must be a club member, to ensure that the pride of ownership and enthusiasm for Morris cars permeates every page and that the Morris Register continues to produce a magazine that is by members for members.

Could you be the person to take on this challenge, and, working alongside the club committee, take the club forward into a new and exciting era?

As a volunteer, you will be supported by a professional graphic designer who will be responsible for the design and layout of the pages and for designing any artwork to your specification before the magazine goes to press.

Old cars - new friends

The forerunner of the Morris Register (The Morris Eight Tourer Club) was formed in 1960. Over the following years other Morris models were admitted until in 1968, it was decided to change the Club's name to "Morris Register" and admit all cars and commercials that were designed before 1940.

The Morris Register welcomes members, with or without ownership of a car, who have an interest in any Morris cars and commercials of this period. After celebrating our fiftieth anniversary in 2010, and the centenary of Morris car productions in 2013, the Morris Register continues to go from strength to strength, and now as we enter our diamond jubilee we have our highest number of members in our history.
